Business Conduct Policy
This Business Conduct Policy sets out the standards Yiheng Inc. (“Yiheng,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) expects from employees, officers, directors, contractors, and partners who represent the company. It is a working draft for site publication and may be refined as our compliance program matures.
1. Purpose
We build systems people rely on. That work only holds if the company itself is reliable — honest with customers, fair with partners, and careful with the law. This policy describes how we expect people to act when they act for Yiheng.
2. Integrity in business
We deal fairly. We do not misrepresent what our products do, what a deployment will cost, or what a timeline can honestly deliver. Sales, support, and engineering share the same facts. If something is uncertain, we say so.
3. Compliance with law
Everyone acting for Yiheng must comply with applicable laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where we operate, including privacy, employment, intellectual property, export, and anti-corruption rules. When the right answer is unclear, ask Legal before you act.
4. Conflicts of interest
Personal interests must not interfere with decisions made for Yiheng. Disclose potential conflicts — financial, familial, or otherwise — to your manager or Legal. Do not use company information, relationships, or assets for private gain.
5. Confidentiality & data
Customer data, commercial terms, source code, and internal plans stay inside authorized channels. Follow our Privacy Policy and security practices. Do not share credentials, leave devices unlocked in public, or discuss restricted matters where they can be overheard.
6. Gifts & anti-corruption
Do not offer, promise, or accept bribes, kickbacks, or improper payments. Modest business gifts and hospitality may be acceptable when lawful, infrequent, and not intended to influence a decision. Anything of material value requires prior approval.
7. Fair treatment & workplace
We expect respect. Discrimination, harassment, and retaliation are not tolerated. We hire and evaluate on judgment and contribution. Report concerns without fear of reprisal for good-faith reports.
8. Partners & suppliers
We choose vendors who can meet our quality and integrity standards. Partners who act for Yiheng are expected to follow the spirit of this policy. Escalate if a partner asks you to cut corners that would put customers, data, or the company at risk.
9. Reporting concerns
If you see conduct that may violate this policy or the law, speak up. Contact your manager or Legal at legal@yihenginc.com. Good-faith reports are protected. Silence that protects a problem is not loyalty.
10. Accountability
Violations may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment or contract, and referral to authorities where required. Leaders are responsible for modeling this policy and for environments where people can raise issues early.
